The presence of latex on the catwalks of famous names and big fashion houses is a fact we hear about more and more often. This time, designer Victoria Beckham joins the ranks. On Friday afternoon, September 30, 2022, her first fashion show took place in Paris. It was held as part of Fashion Week there. Latex reigned supreme here in elements and accessories. Color-wise, they were limited to black and white only, but that didn’t stop anyone. Latex was shown as a material to create long latex gloves and latex stockings. Their role is to add character and a definite claw to the styling. This is particularly evident in the juxtaposition of the black long skirt and white latex stockings along with white stilettos. Theoretically known to everyone styling, now has taken on a whole new dimension. Another interesting example is a navy blue dress with numerous frills and a heart shape created from them on the chest. Such a seemingly ordinary styling, however, after adding black long gloves and stockings, changes its expression completely. Victoria Beckham’s show, therefore, is yet another exposure of the possibilities of latex as a material for creating unique items and accessories. It is irrefutable proof that latex is a material that more famous designers and well-known designers are not afraid to reach for. They show that latex can be worn purely in the “fashion” edition.
