Comic Relief is a British charity dedicated to fighting poverty in the UK and Africa. The culmination and finale of the fundraising campaign is Red Nose Day. The event takes the form of a television show broadcast by the BBC, usually in mid-March. It serves, of course, to raise funds and showcase the foundation’s activities. The event is characterized by 0a joyful atmosphere, as well-known figures perform during the event and episodes of comedy series popular at the time are shown, specially prepared for the occasion. There is, of course, no shortage of the titular red noses.
